As one or two new members are registered for the site here, please post your favourite film performances, even the lesser mainstream pictures have some great performances from Mr Warner, I recommend Drive from 1991 if you can get a copy.

Ballad of Cable Hogue, Waxwork, Time After Time, Nightwing, Perfect Friday, and in Television recently, Wallander as Povel was a great performance and as the ships captain going over the edge in Hornblower too.

I always enjoyed his performances in Sam Peckinpah films. Cable Hogue was magnificent and he made a quite sleazy character somehow redeemable.

On a more personal note, I grew up with two of his great bad guy roles - in Tron and Time Bandits. In both he is so broad but never goes over the top. He actually scared me in Time Bandits if i'm honest.

This is a difficult question... but I would say that my favourite films are Time after Time, Titanic, Hostile Takeover, Hornblower and The Choir.

Any film he has been in is my favorite, as I'm never disappointed with his performance, but these four are at the top of the list:

Time After Time, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and The Balad of Cable Hogue, and Ladies in Lavender.

Gahhh, I LOVE Morgan! I really identified with that film and it makes me happy every time I see it.

Straw Dogs, Cable Hogue, Time After Time. . .

Hmmm... tough to decide. Everything, really. But, if I have to narrow it down:

Time After Time (sinister, AND sympathetic), Ballad Of Cable Hogue (oh, how I love Joshua Duncan Sloan ;)), Hornblower: Mutiny/Retribution (heartbreaking as Captain Sawyer), and The Man With Two Brains ("In my recovery room, there are two subjects, who do nothing but this: 'THHBBBTT!!!!' But I think  I've solved the problem!!!").

I finally got a copy of Morgan this year (after searching for about 15), and enjoyed it tremendously. He is just adorable in that, and I can't wait to watch it again.

Ha ha, the impossible question! I adore 'Cable Hogue', I love Shakespeare's ''War of the roses'', TRON- (Why have cillian Murphy as dillenger jnr????!!!) Time Bandits, The Omen, Twin Peaks, From Beyond the Grave, Time after Time..... the list is endless, actually, he NEVER gives a bad performance. If I had to narrow it down it would have to be THE OMEN, the chemistry between him and Gregory Peck is superb, and his fate is genuinely horrific!

I am "Babylon5" fan and I want to say THANK YOU DAVID for his small role in B5. It was a honor for Strazynsky/Ellison that DW agrees to play in the series.

My favorite film - SOS Titanic and Time after Time and Straw Dogs.

He always gives an enjoyable performance. Favorites are Morgan, The Seagull, Ballad Of Cable Hogue, Wars of the Roses, Time After Time ... and Father in Hensel and Gretel!
And yes, that role in Babylon was so nice.

My favorites films that i have seen him in are Cable Hogue, Michael Kohlhaas and the classic Time after Time. I also liked him in the pirate film the island. I have yet to discover some of the other films but are looking forward to adding them to my dvd collection, Michael Kohlhaus & Cable Hogue shows that DW can and should have done more romantic leads! Yes he is supreme as a baddie, but as a romantic lead he would have excelled.

oh I didn't realize I was responding to myself. Anyway, I totally agree w/Deemes. EVERYTHING!!!  In regard to films,T.V., theater, his NRG is sssssoooooo desparately desired. He brings on such  an excitement ! Yet we've settled for the best of the worst. Why do you think all those genres suck ?
